Jeff Minnich Garden Design, Inc
Holiday 2014

This year has not been a big travel year for us (other than the requisite trips to the Low Country), but next year will make up for it. The son of my best friend from childhood, Jeff, is getting married in Los Angeles next summer, so we’ll go out there and visit other California friends, too. We are looking to change up our winter trip this year, too…more on that in the Spring Newsletter.

I will not be sorry to say goodbye to this year’s weather. All of my beloved windmill palms died (many in the ground for years), and I lost lots of other beautiful plants, too. What an awful winter. And, for the first time in the 17 years I’ve been in this house, a hard freeze came this week and crisped the just-turning leaves on my gorgeous collection of Japanese maples. They have always, without fail, been the stars of the autumn show here in my garden—fire-engine red and stunning. Not this year, I am sad to say. Well, as I’ve said so many times before, there’s always next year. That’s the great thing about gardening and its yearly cycles. Yet again, I am full of hope and excitement as one gardening year ends and a new one is on the horizon.

This has been a spectacular year for me and my company—you’ve challenged me to be creative, as always, and knowing all of you makes my job fun. I am profoundly grateful for your business and friendships. We have been heavily booked this entire year, thanks to you, and let me know if you’d like to go ahead and book for Spring 2015. It is filling up, already.

I wish you fun, relaxing, and peaceful holidays with family and friends. And I wish you all a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year.

Many thanks and all the best,
