Speaking of Books...

I’ve been enjoying The Brother Gardeners by Andrea Wulf. It discusses the movement of plants between continents, beginning in the 1700s, and plant collectors of the time.  And our Wilmington, NC, friend and author, Celia Rivenbark, has had me howling over her collection of books. If you don’t like to read cuss words, then don’t read her books; if an occasional cuss word is okay with you, then read them, like I’m doing, and laugh away. This is Southern humor at its best.  I’m greatly anticipating our friend Frances Mayes’ next book, which will be a memoir based on her childhood in South Georgia.  I think it’s due out late this year or early next year, and I don’t even know the title yet.
