After a long winter, it’s finally SPRING!

ear Clients and Friends,
An hour in the garden puts life’s problems in perspective.

This is a quote by an unknown author that is engraved on a plaque holding open the gate near my waterfall. I pass it every day and smile because it’s so true.

With so many people experiencing challenges in this difficult time, the garden really does put things in perspective. It’s the first place I head to clear my head and do my thinking when things get challenging or confusing or I can’t see the forest for the trees. I spend a little time out there and things slowly begin to fall back in place. You might find that the same works for you.

Curb Appeal!
Yes, after a 16 month wait, the ‘Curb Appeal’ episode in which I participated is finally going to air! Sunday, April 5th, at 10:00 a.m., on HGTV (Home and Garden Television). I had a dream job, dream clients—J.J. and Sonu Singh of Great Falls—and we all had a really great time filming the show. It took about a month (October 2007), off and on, to finish everything up and get it filmed. I remember we were coming off a really dry summer, and the dry, warm weather continued through October. Perfect for landscape work. Still, things were looking kind of parched, with that end-of-summer look that everything gets just before the leaves start to change color. (I think, like us, the plants just get worn out from the heat and are just tired!) We finished the landscape work on a Friday, and the final filming was to take place in the first few days of November. Over the weekend between the wrap on the job and the final filming, the skies opened up for the first time in weeks. It poured. I remember getting to the job site for the final filming and everything look so green and fresh. We could not have asked for better timing, on everything. What a great experience. Would I do more? Absolutely. I had a ball.
